Santiago practices in the areas of taxation, estate planning, asset protection, commercial law, real estate and community association matters. He enjoys working with individuals, private investors, entrepreneurs and business owners in the proper structuring of their investments in such a way as to minimize risks and maximize wealth.

Before starting his own law firm, Santiago practiced law as an associate in the areas of domestic and international tax and estate planning, real estate and litigation.  Santiago also has experience working in public accounting firms including the international tax group of a large multinational tax consulting firm.

Santiago holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Comparative Literature from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and received his Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from the University of Minnesota, where he was a member of the Minnesota Law Review. He later received a Masters of Law in Taxation, (LL.M.) with a Certificate in International Taxation, from the University of Miami. Still not satisfied with three sheepskins he went back to school again to Florida International University’s College of Business Administration where he took the equivalent of the Bachelor’s curriculum (B.B.A.) in accounting and finance, in the hopes of sitting for the C.P.A. examination sometime in the very near future.

Santiago has an NASD Series 7, General Securities Representative license and a State of Minnesota insurance representative license (both inactive).
